Where Your Intuitive Wisdom Lives.
Before you listen: This is another one of my favourite Simply BE videos from the past, paired with a newly revised blog. I’m so enjoying revisiting these teachings and bringing them back to life for all of us to experience again. 🩵 I hope you enjoy them as well…
There is something within each and every one of us – we all have it.
It’s Intuitive wisdom.
Many of us were never really taught how to honour it, nurture it, or trust that it was there. Instead, we learned to look outward for answers. To be logical. To figure things out. To make sense of what doesn’t make sense. And when we don’t know? We often become very uncomfortable.
I call these moments the blank spaces.
Those times when you don’t have the answer.
You don’t understand what’s happening.
You aren’t sure what someone meant.
You don’t know what decision to make or what’s coming next.
It’s uncertainty. The unknown.
But what if, rather than immediately trying to escape these spaces, we learned to stay there a little longer? Because the blank spaces may be exactly where your intuitive wisdom is waiting for you.
The Mind Wants to Know
The human mind is incredible. It’s designed to solve, predict, understand, and protect. But it doesn’t particularly like uncertainty. When we don’t have the full picture, the mind wants to fill in the blank — and fast.
And very often, it fills that space with assumptions:
- “They’re mad at me.”
- “I must have done something wrong.”
- “This always happens to me.”
- “If I don’t do something now, I’ll regret it.”
Sound familiar?
An assumption isn’t truth. It’s often simply the mind’s attempt to make the discomfort of not knowing go away. And the moment we decide we already know, we stop being curious.
We stop asking.
We stop listening.
We stop feeling.
And we stop leaving space for something deeper to arise.
From the Ego’s Urgency to the Soul’s Curiosity
The ego wants certainty. It wants to know what happened, what something means, what someone is thinking, and what we should do next. It wants the discomfort resolved. And it wants it now. But your deeper wisdom doesn’t usually arrive with that same urgency.
Intuition is quieter.
A whisper.
A feeling.
A nudge.
A knowing you can’t necessarily explain.
And we can’t always hear those whispers when the mind is busy filling every blank space with conclusions. So instead of immediately asking:
“How do I figure this out?”
Try asking:
“What if I don’t need to know yet?”
- Instead of assuming — ask.
- Instead of reacting — pause.
- Instead of filling the silence — listen.
Sometimes that means asking another person for clarification. Sometimes it means truly listening to someone without needing to defend, fix, or respond. And sometimes it means becoming quiet enough to listen to yourself.
The Power of the Blank Space
What if, just for a moment, you didn’t race to fill in the blank? What if you allowed the space to remain open? This isn’t always easy – especially when the unknown involves a relationship, your family, your future, or a decision that matters deeply to you. But that’s the practice.
Pause. Breathe. Come out of the head and into the body.
Feel your feet.
Feel your belly.
Feel your heart.
And allow yourself to say: “I don’t know yet… but I’m safe to be here.”
You aren’t lost because you don’t know. You are simply creating enough space to receive something you couldn’t hear before.
Your Wisdom Is Already Within You
The more comfortable we become with not knowing, the more room we create for intuition. When the noise settles, something deeper can begin to emerge.
Call it wisdom.
Discernment.
Intuition.
Your Soul.
Or simply a remembering of something you already know. Whatever language feels right to you, the invitation is the same:
Don’t rush past the silence.
Let stillness teach you. Trust that clarity doesn’t always have to be chased. Sometimes it arrives when we finally become quiet enough to receive it.
This Week’s Intention
- Be okay with not knowing.
- Release the need to rush into conclusions.
- Pause and breathe before responding.
- Listen to understand – not to defend or fix.
- Trust that clarity can come with time and patience.
- Know that you are safe to sit in the mystery until something becomes clearer.
Let the Blank Spaces Stay Blank
You don’t need to know everything today. You don’t need to immediately understand why something happened. And you don’t need to fill every uncomfortable space with an answer.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply…
Pause.
Breathe.
Stay curious.
Listen.
Shift from the ego’s urgency to know… to the Soul’s curiosity to discover.
Let the blank spaces remain blank for a little while. And see what rises from the silence.
Namaste my friends;
Leslie 💙🙏
