Last week in Simply BE – I offered out the challenge of practicing non-judgment. If you tried it, you probably noticed how quickly your mind moved into judging everything… yourself, others and pretty much every one of your experiences. Honestly, the challenge was more about acquiring this awareness – then it was about being able to stop the judgments.
This week I have another challenge for you; Practice Receiving.
You may have been taught to focus more on giving. To focus on helping others, to be generous, and to show up for the people around you. And these are beautiful values to have (and keep). Giving is so important – it makes the world go around but do you understand the importance of receiving? Were you taught how to receive? Giving and receiving are a part of the same movement – if we give without receiving – we become imbalanced – this imbalance can lead to exhaustion & resentment.
Because…how can you truly give what you don’t first have yourself?
This week I invite you to practice receiving – and this begins with yourself. Because when you truly learn how to receive, something beautiful happens…
What you then give begins to flow more naturally, authentically and abundantly. Plus… there is no resentment attached to it.
