What If We Really Are Souls Having a Human Experience?
What if there is more to this lifetime than what we can see, understand or explain with our human minds?
What if some of the experiences we’ve encountered – the people we’ve met, the doors that have opened and closed, the unexpected redirections, the heartbreaks, triumphs, obstacles and beautiful moments – are somehow part of a much bigger journey?
What if some experiences are wake-up calls? Some are redirections? Some invite us to grow, heal, forgive, release or become more conscious?
And what if there are others we may simply never understand while we’re here?
I Have Doubts Too
I know this can be a stretch. And believe me… I am as human as the next person. 😊 There are moments when my very human mind questions even the things I deeply believe.
- Is there really a Higher Power at play here?
- Did I really come here with a deeper purpose?
- Am I really a Soul embodied in this human form?
- Is there really a light within me — something eternal that will never cease to be?
- Am I really being guided through signs, synchronicities and those quiet inner knowings… or am I simply hoping that I am?
- Did I come here carrying karma to experience, understand or perhaps transform?
- Could some of the challenges I’ve experienced actually hold something for me — something to learn, heal, release or grow through?
- Is there really something bigger happening here that my human mind can’t see?
These aren’t questions I walk around asking myself every day. They are the doubts that can quietly creep in when life feels uncertain, difficult or simply very… human.
And I’ve noticed something about myself.
When I fall deeply into that doubt, life can begin to feel heavier. More unsettling. Sometimes even darker. I start seeing my life only through the lens of what is happening to me.
But when I reconnect with what I deeply believe – when I allow myself to consider that perhaps there is something bigger happening here… something shifts.
Not necessarily with what’s happening around me – but something shifts within me.
I feel more hopeful. I feel more peaceful. My mind opens. And perhaps even more importantly… my heart opens.
I reconnect with a deeper wisdom and an inner strength that reminds me: I am here. I am experiencing this. And whatever this moment is asking of me, I can meet it.
Maybe We Don’t Need to Understand Everything
This doesn’t mean I have to like everything that happens. It doesn’t mean painful experiences suddenly become good. And it certainly doesn’t mean I always understand why something happened.
Maybe my human self isn’t supposed to understand everything. Maybe some answers belong to the mystery. Maybe some answers come later. And maybe some experiences aren’t here to give me an answer at all.
But I can still ponder these questions:
- What is this experience inviting me to see?
- What is it asking me to release?
- What might I choose differently now?
- Who am I becoming through this?
- What might my Soul be experiencing through all of this?
Because when I remember myself as more than this body, more than my thoughts, more than my fears and more than the circumstances of this particular moment…
I find something underneath all of it.
A deeper strength.
A little more courage.
A little more peace.
And a willingness to embrace this extraordinary human life – the bumps, the triumphs, the joys, the heartbreaks, the obstacles and the unknowns.
Not because I need to believe everything happens for me.
But because everything that happens becomes part of the life, I now have the opportunity to meet consciously. And for me… that’s enough.
Simply Ask… What If?
I’m not asking you to believe what I believe. I’m simply inviting you to open the door to possibility.
- What if… you are so much more than the human being you see in the mirror?
- What if… there is a deeper wisdom within you that already knows how to walk this path?
- What if… you don’t have to understand everything in order to trust yourself through it?
And what if, just for today, you allowed yourself to believe…
“I am a Soul having a human experience.”
And just Simply BE with that.
Namaste my friends;
