I invite you to explore something subtle but powerful this week: blank spaces – the place where your intuitive wisdom resides.

You know those times when you don’t know, you don’t have the answer, you don’t understand what’s happening and you feel uncertain and confused? I call these “The blank spaces” It’s uncertainty…and the often “dreaded” unknown.

BUT these moments of not knowing, not understanding and being unsure of what comes next…

are actually sacred spaces of transformation.

Let’s look first, at how the mind tries to avoid these spaces, how we get tricked into believing assumptions are truth.

Then let’s open to staying in the unknown as a gateway to intuitive wisdom and personal truth. A place where deep clarity is found.

The Mind Wants to Know

Let’s begin with the mind. The human mind is incredible. It’s built to solve, predict and protect.
But it’s also deeply uncomfortable with uncertainty.

So, when we don’t have the full picture…
When someone doesn’t respond to a message…
When we don’t understand why we feel a certain way…
When the future is foggy or unknown…
The mind becomes very uncomfortable and wants to fill in the blank — fast.

And it usually fills it with assumptions:

  • “They’re mad at me.”
  • “I messed up again.”
  • “This always happens to me.”
  • “If I don’t act now, I’ll regret it.”

Sound familiar?

“We make assumptions about everything. The problem with making assumptions is that we believe they are the truth.” ~Don Miguel Ruiz

The moment we assume, we stop listening. We stop questioning.
We stop feeling into what’s real… and start reacting to what isn’t.

Assumptions are mental shortcuts.
They feel safer than not knowing.
But they are often ways we avoid sitting with what’s really there;

  • A wound.
  • A fear.
  • A trigger that’s been activated.

Assumptions as Avoidance

Let’s be honest: Avoidance feels easier than facing some difficult truths.
When we assume – it feels like we are gaining back control, but all we’re really doing is bypassing the discomfort.
We assume to protect ourselves from disappointment, but we’re actually distancing ourselves from healing.

When we fill in the blanks with assumptions, we miss out on 3 very important things:

  1. The opportunity to understand what part of us is hurting.
  2. The chance to meet ourselves with compassion.
  3. The moment to choose truth over reactivity.

The Power of the Blank Space

So, what if – just for a moment – we didn’t race to fill in the blanks?

What if we allowed the gap to stay open?

It will feel uncomfortable at first. And that’s okay. This is “the work”
The challenge is to sit within the space of the unknown – without rushing to fix it.
Because in that space… in that pause… in that silence…
We begin to hear something quieter and truer.

Intuitive wisdom. The place where truth and aha moments come from.
Where clarity rises. Not from the noise of the mind, but from the wisdom of the heart.

Your Truth Lives in the Heart, Not the Mind

The mind wants certainty.
The heart wants truth.

Truth doesn’t shout. It whispers. It patiently waits.

And it speaks most clearly when we are willing to stay with the discomfort of not knowing —
when we pause long enough to ask:

  • “What am I avoiding?”
  • “What’s really asking to be seen?”
  • “What’s true for me… underneath the noise?”

Your truth… the one that heals, liberates and reconnects you – doesn’t come from assumption.
It comes from stillness.
From presence.
From deep listening in silence.

Staying in the Unknown

What if – just for today – you didn’t fill in the blanks?

What if the unknown wasn’t a problem to solve, but a place to soften into?

Uncertainty and the unknown is not the enemy.
It is your teacher. It is where truth is waiting to meet you.

Being with uncertainty is where your intuition is patiently waiting for you to softly land – so you can hear your own wisdom.

Let’s make space for that. Silent Retreat June 27th-June 30st

It might feel uncomfortable at first – that’s normal.
But inside that discomfort is something deeper:
Healing. Clarity. Intuition and Truth.

This Week’s Intention

  • Be okay with not knowing.
  • Release the need to rush into conclusions.
  • Pause and breathe before responding.
  • Listen to understand, not defend or fix.
  • Trust (in those quiet blank spaces) that clarity will come in time and with patience.
  • Know you are safe to sit in the “mystery” until the truth arises or unfolds.

Truth Doesn’t Rush – It Waits

Truth doesn’t come from the noise of the mind.
It rises from the quiet of the heart.
And the heart speaks when you stop assuming… and start listening to it’s intuitive wisdom.

So, as you move through this week, let yourself sit with the not-knowing.

Let the blank spaces remain blank and see what rises from the silence.

Namaste my friends;
Leslie 🙏💙
