Every BODY wants to be healthy, energetic and thriving. YOUR body is always letting you know how to achieve this. If you’re willing to listen inward you can hear its messages.
If you don’t feel like you are living in a “healthy, energetic, thriving body” start today by appreciating your body. Not easy to do, if you’re living in a lot of discomfort.
How you view your body, speak to your body and the thoughts you think about your body do contribute to the over-all health of your body and its ability to thrive in or through whatever you’re currently experiencing.
Begin each day with the intention to appreciate your body so you can help it thrive. This is a major first step in the right direction.
Of course, physical health goes beyond the thoughts you think and the words you speak to and about your body – but setting the intention to appreciate your body for all it does do for you & continues to do for you on a daily basis (no matter what state it is currently in) is a great place to start.
Follow this body appreciation intention with, one more powerful intention…
to not do anything to hurt your body.
Take yourself out for a walk, spend some time in nature, do some yoga, eat a healthy diet. Meditate, rest, get yourself into a regular sleep routine and whenever you can, avoid toxins. Avoid toxins in food and your environment for sure, but this also means avoiding (as best as you can) toxic people and toxic jobs. These toxins can all bring illness into the body.
There is an intelligence within the body that is so often underestimated. By setting these intentions for yourself every morning, you can begin tapping into this innate intelligence within.
The mind can block this intelligence because it can be very harsh on the body. Wishing your body was different or even believing it has betrayed you is incredibly hard on the body. It is hard on any body. Because it’s the opposite that is true. Your body’s only job is to self-regulate and keep you in balance, even and especially when you are ill or have been injured. If you haven’t treated your body with very much love or compassion or if you’ve been hard on it with certain habits and behaviors – it is time to turn that around. Unblock your body’s intelligence by opening your mind to trusting this intelligence within your body. This intelligence within you knows how to self-regulate and heal you from just about anything.
Think back to when you were younger. How hard were you on your body physically? How hard were you on your body mentally? How well did you eat? What injuries did you sustain? What bad habits did you pick up? Through all these experiences and choice your body has been working over-time to keep you safe, self-regulating your energy system during trauma’s and has done everything it could to bring your body, organs, bones, muscles and literally everything within you into balance. Has your body been fighting a losing battle? Have you been sabotaging its best efforts?
Your body is constantly healing you! Even when you are sick and you feel weak and lethargic – you are tired because your body is in healing mode! It needs your co-operation not your criticism! It needs you to co-operate and listen. It is begging you to slow down and listen in to its messages. It will keep on doing it’s best to heal you – until it runs out of resources and the bigger illness’s manifest. Many of us depend on medication to heal (and I’m not knocking medication) but medication is so much more effective when you are listening to your body and honoring its messages!
Over the years, I have found when my body speaks to me AND I listen & follow through with its messages – I may not need medication. Sometimes though, I think I can power through and if I don’t give the respect to my body that it deserves – my body will put my butt in bed – sick or hurt and unable to move and very often needing medication.
One thing I know for sure is; any discomfort anywhere in your body is a direct message to you. We often look outside of us for the answers and the fixes and sometimes outside help is needed and required BUT looking inward first will give you the ability to possibly heal before the situation gets worse. The problem (and why most people don’t want to go inward) is that one needs to be really honest with themselves. Your body is giving you so many hints as to how you are out of alignment with your true self.
Your body speaks to you always.
Without exception.
Every body wants to be healthy, energetic and thriving. Your body is always letting you know how to achieve this. If you are willing to listen inward you can hear its messages. Your body speaks to you in sensations.
When it really wants your attention, it will speak to you in discomfort. Remember your body’s only job is to keep you safe, self-regulated and in balance.
When you are out of balance – you are uncomfortable. This is when the body speaks the loudest. If you ignore it, mask it or numb it – it will get louder and even more uncomfortable.
If you are not feeling healthy, energetic or thriving physically in your body, it is time to view your body differently. It has been doing it’s best to keep you healthy and thriving but if you haven’t been listening to it, it is trying to get your attention. Isn’t it time now to give your body the respect, appreciation and attention it needs? Isn’t it time to embark on your inner healing journey?
Your body needs you to listen. It always has a message for you – what is your body’s message?

Your body is always doing it’s best to bring you back into balance, to heal and self-regulate you. If your mind is over riding your body’s messages with fears, anger, criticism, disrespect or even medication – these very important messages will not or may never be heard.
Many times we don’t want to listen because it will mean we have to make some changes that we don’t want to make or don’t think we can make. This is where being honest with yourself is so important. Ask for help. Please don’t wait until it is too late.
Yes, there are certain situation where you have done everything and you are still not able to heal. This is when your body needs your acceptance, affection & appreciation the most. Know that your body always deserves your loving attention.
There is never not a good time to love, honor, accept, respect and appreciate your body.
