There are two main teachers in this life school. One teaches from the perception of love and the other teaches from the perception of fear. Both of these “life” teachers give you lessons to learn; every single day of your life. Each lesson will either project thoughts and feelings of love or thoughts and feelings of fear onto you, depending on which teacher you are giving your attention to.

Both teachers teach the same lessons but from completely different view points. (Projection; according to this article in Psychology Today, is the process of displacing one’s feelings onto a different person, animal, or object.)

In every single experience of your life, you have free will to see and understand each lesson through the though-based perception of a “fearful teacher” or the though-based perception of a “loving teacher” These teachers are in your mind of course but would have been nurtured differently for all of us based on our upbringing and experiences.

It is the right of every human being to see & believe in either the projection of love within that experience or the projection of fear. You were born love (we all were) so the loving teacher perception aligns with the truth of who you are. However, from the day you were born, the humans who raised you likely raised you from the same perception of the teacher they gave most of their attention to.

The natural tendency is to align back into your original “God-given” truth of love but humans develop fears over the years and shift away from their “natural” way of being into the experiences of this world and all the human that came before who were taught and often raised in fear. How can those humans project out anything other than what they know, think and believe?

You were taught fear because you came to a dualistic world. The duality of fear and love is part of this human experiences. Maybe you were raised by humans with more “loving thought-based” ideals, teachings and beliefs or maybe you were raised by humans with more “fearful thought-based” ideals, teachings and beliefs and maybe you fall somewhere in between the two. Whichever is the case for you, it is as it is and once blame towards the humans that raised you, taught you, hurt you or betrayed you is released… the journey of finding your way back to your natural state of being love begins. It is a journey that is not only possible and available to everyone but it is a journey of a lifetime! Some might believe they need a miracle and, in many ways, don’t we all? Doesn’t every human being deserve a miracle or two?

A Course in Miracles describes a miracle as “a shift in perception.”

Could it really be that simple?

Fear is projected out into this world in so many different ways. Fear wears many masks and disguises itself in crafty and creative ways. Fear knows how to effectively worm its way into the defenceless sub-conscious mind through thoughts, emotions and belief systems of the teachers projecting them.

Those who go on a “Spiritual Journey” are seeking the truth though; you’ve all heard the lingo;

  • Seeking the truth
  • Asking Who am I?
  • Searching for purpose
  • Finding oneself
  • Aligning the Chakra’s
  • Transmuting karma
  • Transcending the ego
  • Connecting with Universal consciousness
  • Enlightened thinking
  • Open your heart
  • Think with your heart

You’ve all heard me say it or write it over the years I am sure😉😊

So, what is the Spiritual Truth many are seeking?

The truth is Love

That is, in truth what we are all seeking. Some are seeking a miracle.

The miracle we are all seeking is the shift from believing the projected thoughts of the fearful teacher to believing in the projected thoughts of the loving teacher.

Even those who are walking through this life in their darkest hour (or days, weeks or years). Truth (aka love) comes in through expected and unexpected ways. Be open to experiencing these moments, flickers of light and flashes of hope and decide to put your awareness in the mind-set of the loving teacher. Be willing to see things differently.

Aren’t we all just looking for the truth? Maybe a miracle or two? You won’t find it in the fear thoughts though.

No matter what it is you are seeking…

The human in you may want more;

  • Joy
  • Connection
  • Peace
  • Success
  • Power
  • Wealth
  • Happiness
  • Laughter
  • Knowledge or wisdom

The human in you may want to;

  • Heal
  • Experience deeper love
  • Feel safe
  • Be understood
  • Be respected

Some humans crave attention, acceptance, power and control in the form of;

  • Revenge
  • Controlling others
  • Enabling
  • People pleasing
  • Gossiping
  • Judging
  • The next drink
  • That hit of heroin
  • the next great party

There is no judgement here – these are all life experiences in one form or other. It is the human experience.

Based on one’s choices, thoughts, experiences, perceptions and upbringing these life experiences vary for every human being. There are so many variables, circumstances and synchronicities that can and do unfold that will create different stories in any human being’s life.

Some things you have control over and some things you do not.

If you scale absolutely every back, the single most important decision you have in any given moment is whether you are going to see the life situation presenting itself to you through the eyes and thoughts of fear or through the eyes and thoughts of love.

If you are living a life where anger, worry, struggle and expecting worst case scenario’s is your current reality then unfortunately the fear-based thought teacher had your attention more often than the loving teacher did.

If you live a life where gratitude, compassion, kindness, acceptance and expecting best case scenario’s is your current reality then fortunately the love-based thought teacher had your attention more often.

If you fall somewhere in the middle, depending on the day, person you are with or situation…then of course you most likely wabble between the 2 choices of teachers…love and fear. This is common of the human experience.

This is the awareness though that will help tip the scale towards your truth and the better thought-based choice.

What if…

  1. What if…thoughts are meaningless. Does this mean they are neutral? No…neutral thoughts are impossible, because all thoughts have power. So, if they are just thoughts, without any particular meaning, the power is then in the meaning you project upon them. Fear or love.
  2. What if…you could see your thoughts differently and instead of seeing them as truth – you saw every thought that comes into your mind as meaningless? You now get to choose the meaning. You can choose then to no longer suffer from the effects of your “insane” fearful thoughts.
  3. What if…you took another step back to get a broader perspective and saw that any given thought is either a thought of love or a thought of fear. In each moment YOU get to decide which one you are going to give your attention to and believe in?

Is it really that simple? Could you really shift your life by truly believing that all thoughts are meaningless and that you can shift your perception by attaching and projecting any meaning you want to them?

Hmmm… something to ponder.
